French c.1890 Barzoni model
About the instrument:
The violin back, length 361mm, is in two pieces of quarter-sawn maple with a strong curl of narrow-medium width; the ribs, scroll and neck of similar wood. The front is of fine-medium grain spruce and the varnish of a red-brown colour with a golden ground.
