Rental Scheme
Our rental scheme allows beginners and student players access to good quality instruments. Each instrument and bow has been adjusted and set up by our workshop. Violins/Violas come with an oblong case, bow and block of rosin. Cellos/Double Basses come with a soft case, bow and block of rosin.
There is no charge for upgrading to the next size when renting as long as the instrument is returned in good condition, we do take into account fair wear and tear.
The minimum hire period is three months and this is paid in advance. Further Payments are then arranged monthly.
After the initial three months you have the option to buy and we will deduct the first three months from the rental price.
Note: This is not a hire to buy scheme. If at any time during the period of hire the customer decides to purchase an instrument, the initial three month rental fee will be deducted (minus VAT) from the purchase price. Monthly standing order payments cover hire costs alone.

It is the customer’s responsibility to insure the instrument for the duration of the rental. We have found that this is covered by the majority of household insurance policies without the need to specify the item, however we would recommend checking with your insurer.
