Dresden c.1890

About the instrument:

The double bass made in Dresden c.1890 is in two pieces of quarter-sawn maple; the ribs, scroll and neck of similar wood. The front is of medium grain spruce and the varnish of a golden-brown colour.

How does it sound?

A great sounding bass. Even and balanced across all strings when plucked or bowed! Exactly what we would expect from a good, old, German bass.
