About the violin
A great example of a Wolff Brothers violin for sale from their famous German workshop. The violin bears their label inside ‘WOLFF BROS., VIOLIN MANUFACTURERS. Class 5DN N.3812. 1906’.
The back is in two pieces of quarter-sawn maple marked with a strong curl of medium width; the ribs, scroll and neck of similar wood. The front is of fine-medium grain spruce and the varnish of a golden brown colour.
The violin is set up with obligato string and is in very good condition.
How does it sound?
A warm and mature tone across all strings.
