About the instrument:

The violin back is in one piece of quarter-sawn maple with a strong, irregular flame of narrow to medium width; the ribs, scroll and neck of similar wood. The front is of fine grain spruce and the varnish of a red-brown colour on a golden ground.

The violin is internally labelled ‘Authentic copy of 1913 small violin by /Y° 20, Antonio Stradivarius…’.
