About the instrument:

A German violin made by Mathias Weineisen, Mittenwald 1915. Mathias’s instruments are greatly praised for the smooth tonal qualities.

The violin back is in two pieces of quarter-sawn maple with a strong curl of medium width; the ribs, scroll and neck of similar wood. The front is of medium grain spruce and the varnish of a light orange-brown colour.

Condition:

The violin is in very good condition.

How does it sound?

A smooth warm tone.
