Pierre Guillaume certificate: ‘I certify that it is authentic in all its main parts but with the exception of the button…The stick of this bow is planed round in a beautiful dense pernambuco wood of wine red brown colour…The frog, silver ebony, is lined with a single mother-of-pearl grain… This bow made in Mirecourt around 1890 is a high quality work by C. N. Bazin.’
